A 36-year-old Alberta yoga instructor and massage therapist testifying by video describes a racing heart, dizziness and tachycardia within hours of her first Moderna dose, followed by POTS diagnosis, pressure to take a second dose, and fainting and bedbound illness afterward. She describes compensation delays and a compression-clothing project for others with POTS.
Drue Taylor, 36, of Alberta, a mother of two, was a power yoga instructor and professional massage therapist for people and horses who saw five to eight clients a day. She testifies by video because, the host says, her doctor advised in a letter of August 29, 2026 that travelling could leave her bedridden for weeks, and she says she has not been able to fly since her injury. She describes being pro-vaccine and receiving Moderna on April 24, 2021 as a health-care worker, and says within hours her heart raced, she was dizzy, and an emergency room found sinus tachycardia of about 130 on standing. She describes 30 to 50 symptoms, drenching sweats, being unable to work, and a tilt test in November that a cardiologist called inconclusive. She says she was pressured by a cardiologist and an Alberta Health Services nurse to have a second dose, that an exemption was denied, and that family circumstances and border rules added pressure. She says after the second dose every symptom worsened, with fainting, heart rates over 200 and about a year and a half in bed. Taylor says an autonomic specialist in Calgary found hyperadrenergic POTS, vasovagal syncope and suspected mast cell activation syndrome and agreed the vaccines triggered them. She describes medications, water, sodium and compression, fainting one to three times a week when medication wears off, using a cane and wheelchair outside, and the cost of every activity. She says her compensation claim took a year and a half to be accepted, is under appeal, and has not replaced her income, and she describes a compression-clothing line she is developing. MPs question her.
