Allison Inquiry | Stephanie Giguere | Day 3 September 10th, 2026
A 46-year-old British Columbia psychotherapist describes numb hands, disorientation and 23 days of severe head pressure after a single Moderna dose, followed by a racing heart, speech loss and falls. She describes being diagnosed with adjustment disorder by phone, finding care from a naturopath, and a denied workers' compensation claim.
Stephanie Giguere, 46, was 40 and a psychotherapist for Interior Health in British Columbia with a master's degree in counselling psychology, a mother of two who volunteered, hiked and gardened and took no medications. She says she received a single Moderna dose on January 21, 2021 at about 11:30 and that 90 minutes later, while typing a report, her hands went numb up to her elbows and her judgment and orientation declined, so she drove home using her wrists. She describes the worst pain of her life in her brain for 23 days, a resting heart rate of 130 to 160, slurred and stuttering speech and a loss of words, lost motor control, leg weakness, falls, trouble feeding herself and sleeping 16 to 20 hours a night. She says an emergency doctor told her to wait three weeks for her family doctor, who saw her by phone for two and a half years and diagnosed adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood, which she describes as the claim that it was all in her head. Giguere says her husband found a naturopathic doctor who started a protocol and put her back on her feet. She describes being treated as unvaccinated after one dose, without an exemption, being labelled an extremist and hated by both vaccinated and unvaccinated people, and continuing post-traumatic symptoms. She says her workers' compensation claim was denied because there was no data, so she compiled a 404-reference literature review, and describes hostile posts by the person who reviewed her file. MPs ask about accountability and what would make people whole, and she gives a faith-based answer.
